During these unprecedented times of change to the funding of research and support for students from underrepresented backgrounds in STEM, we stand by our mission: To unite, support, and build community among all historically excluded peoples in STEM.

To support this mission, we are continuing to offer our established programming with a focus on Mentorship, Research, and Conference Support. We are also building new ways to offer support to our community and offer our community to chance to provide support to each other. This includes creating a discord server for NALA(STEM) members, and planning our first national conference for 2026. More to come on this! 

We want to offer each out you the chance to participate in this new programming and ask for those who have the time and ability to help us create and implement our new programming. We are currently looking for volunteers for support with website and newsletters, fundraising and helping to execute our inaugural national conference, or contribute in other ways we may not have thought of. Please reply to this email or if viewing online click button below to email us if you’re interested in supporting our mission by joining the leadership team!
